2012 Eureka Relay For Life Diary.

Last night. i participated in the 2012 Eureka Relay For Life. It was an awesome even held @ the College Of The Redwoods football field/track. There were several tables lined up around the track featuring various teams and sponsors. The whole thing was DJd by local station KHUM and various food providers were there including Papa Murphey's and Pepsi. The following is my diary of events from my 10 mile 7 hour plus adventure. 11:05 PM: Arrived @ CR with my sister-in-law Colleen. Was given my number and after eating some fries and taking another sip off of my Frappe i picked up at Burger King on the way in. i started my walking. Man those guys from KHUM were loud. I had my iPod cranked full blast and they still managed to drown it out when i passed by thouse huge speakers. 11:10 PM: stopped by the Girl Scouts table and snagged some Thin Mints. Dang those things are almost worse than crack they're so addictive. Who makes those things? Phillip Morris? LOL. Next stop was the table...

Dr. Bob's joke

A motorcycle mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop. The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hey Doc, take a look at this" The cardiologist, a bit surprised walked over to where the mechanic was working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and said, "So Doc, look at this engine. I opened its heart, took the valves out, repaired or replaced anything damaged, and then put everything back in, and when I finished, it worked just like new. So how is that I make $30,000 a year and you make a million when you and I are doing basically the same work?" The cardiologist paused, leaned over, and then whispered to the mechanic, "Try doing it with the engine running."

God's Accuracy......... The Facts

This is awesome! How Great is our God!!! Our Creator and Redeemer . . . and do we THINK about it??? God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs. . . . .For example: -the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days; -those of the canary in 14 days; -those of the barnyard hen in 21 days; -The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days; -those of the mallard in 35 days; -The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!) God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily. The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. How wise the Lord is in all His wor...

A Real Interesting Lawsuit.

A woman calls her lawyer and asks... "With all the lawsuits going on, I want to get in on some of that action. I hear people are suing cigarette companies because they got cancer and others are suing McDonalds because they got fat." "And which one of those categories do you fit under?" "Neither," says the women. "I just want to know if I can sue Budweiser for all the ugly men I've slept with."

Trivia: Does mini-golf count?

TODAY'S MYSTERY QUOTE QUOTE: "Golf is so popular simply because it is the best game in the world at which to be bad." HINT: (1882-1956), English author, best known for his books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh and for various children's poems. RANDOM TIDBITS Golf club names rarely used in the game today include baffy (a four wood), brassie (a two wood), cleek (a two iron), mashie (a five iron), niblick (an eight iron), and spoon (a three wood). Jack Nicklaus's nickname, "The Golden Bear," has nothing to do with his blonde hair and stocky build. He earned it while playing golf in high school for the Upper Arlington (Ohio) Golden Bears. Before good-quality synthetic materials were developed, the "carpet" at miniature golf courses was typically made from green-dyed felt made from goat hair. In most of the world, scoring a two on a par-five hole is called an albatross; in the United States, it's known as a double eagle. Althea Gibs...
