RANDOM TIDBITS

During the Royal Wedding ceremony, royals sat on the right and commoners on the left. All the women in Westminster Abbey donned hats to show their respect. And, the bride won't throw her bouquet to bunch of single ladies. Instead, she'll lay it at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, which the Queen Mum did back in 1923.

***

Kate will follow in Princess Diana's footsteps and leave out "obey" in her wedding vows. Instead, she said she will "love, comfort, honor and keep" William. Princess Di did the same thing when she married Prince Charles in 1981, but back then it was seen as a pretty controversial move.

***

William and Kate's wedding reception is set to outshine that of Will's parents Charles and Diana. After the ceremony has taken place, 600 chosen guests will enjoy a lunchtime buffet, unlike his parents who celebrated with a 120-guest breakfast hosted by the Queen.

***

William and Kate got their own Royal British stamp last week. The stamps feature two photos of the couple-- one is a copy of the official engagement portrait photographed in the Royal Council Chamber and the other is a casual shot taken in the Palace's Cornwall Room.

***

Prince William will not wear a ring after the marriage, but it's been reported that Kate will wear a gold ring passed down to William from the Queen. According to tradition, the Welsh gold for royal rings comes from the Clogau St David's mine at Bontddu in North Wales.

***

So as to not follow in the footsteps of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, and Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, William and Kate are allegedly going to be the first royal couple to enter into a pre-nuptial agreement.
