Why God Gave Us Puppies

Image
If you need your heart warmed or just a quick smile, take a look... Choose to have a happy day. A man may smile and bid you hail Yet wish you to the devil; But when a good dog wags his tail, You know he's on the level.

WOOD CHIP SCULPTURES.

Image
53-year-old Sergei Bobkov has patented a unique technique of creating amazing sculptures out of Siberian cedar wood-chips. “It’s not very interesting to do what others can. To create something out of nothing in a completely new way is far more inspiring.” This is how Sergei Bobkov explains the unique form of art that he created. He says many people compare his artworks to taxidermy, because they both look so much like the animals they replicate, but Sergei believes they are as different as light and darkness. Whereas taxidermy is all about death, his wood-chip art symbolizes life. This resident of Kozhany , Russia , has developed his very own technique that prevents wood-chips from falling apart in time. After creating about 100-150 chips, from 2-3 inch long cedar stick, he puts them in water for several days. Then, making use of his surgical precision, he carves the chips into any shape he needs. Sergey has been doing this for some time now, but he has only created 11 wood-chip sculpt...

Not a Standard Shuttle Launch Photo

Image
When the Shuttle Endeavour launched on May 16th on STS-134 mission there were clouds at 5000 feet, and the clouds were at least 500 feet thick. Folks on ground could see the Shuttle for only 22 seconds before it vanished into the clouds. But a buddy sent me this picture taken above the clouds. Thought you might enjoy it. Last Shuttle "ENDEAVOR" flight from KSC - 5-16-2011. A nifty photo of the last space shuttle launch, from the best seat in the house..................an F-15E Strike Eagle at 26 thousand feet over the east coast flying combat air patrol for the launch.

Image
My next car… Old Bumper Cars What do you do with OLD Bumper Cars? Good shopping car for your area.. Wonder what kind of mileage they get? Who says there is nothing new under the sun. WHO KNEW? Yes, you read that right; these little beasties are street legal. They run on either Kawasaki or Honda motorcycle engines and co-opt vintage bumper car bodies into the most awesome form of mini-car we've seen in too long. There are seven of these little monsters floating around California , and they're all the creation of one man,Tom Wright, a builder in the outskirts of San Diego who figured the leftovers of the Long Beach Pike amusement park needed a more dignified end than the trash heap. They were originally powered by two cylinder Harley Davidson Motorcycle engines but they rattled like heck because of the two cylinder vibration and Tom replaces them with four cylinder Honda or Kawasaki 750's and a couple have been measured as capable of 160 MPH, which is terrifyingly fast in mac...

Seal Team 6 In Their Business Suits

Here’s what a Seal Team looks like in their business suits. I wish we could see a picture of Osama bin Laden's face when these guys came through his door:
