Not a Standard Shuttle Launch Photo
When the Shuttle Endeavour launched on May 16th on STS-134 mission there were clouds at 5000 feet, and the clouds were at least 500 feet thick. Folks on ground could see the Shuttle for only 22 seconds before it vanished into the clouds. But a buddy sent me this picture taken above the clouds. Thought you might enjoy it.
Last Shuttle "ENDEAVOR" flight from KSC - 5-16-2011. A nifty photo of the last space shuttle launch, from the best seat in the house..................an F-15E Strike Eagle at 26 thousand feet over the east coast flying combat air patrol for the launch.
