My Pinball Arcade Reviews Part 5

Tis the season for part 5 of my Pinball Arcade reviews. In this installment, i'll be reviewing Ghostbuster Pinball, Party Zone as well as White Water and Who Dunnit. Starting next month i'll be reviewing whatever tables are released next. Don't forget there's only three short months to go before The Addams Family is released. I can't wait. It's like a belated Christmas/early Birthday present.

Ghostbusters

Now let me preface this by saying that Ghostbusters isn't part of Pinball Arcade but it's made by Farsight Studios. That being said it is just as awesome as any of the machines in Pinball Arcade. The only difference is that instead of being set to Free Play, you have to use tokens. You get so many free tokens to start with and can either purchase more or just wait for more. (You get one every 3 or 4 minutes.) The game is based on the 80s classic starrin Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd and that lady from the Alien movies. The playfield looks like someone took a Haunted House and redressed it in Ghostbusters style. There's music and speech from the movies. There's even a Stay Puft Marshmellow Man on the upper level. I give this scary good time Five stars. I ain't scared of no ghosts.

Party Zone

This Bally party animal from 1991 invites players to the Cosmic Cottage where a howling good time can be had by all. There's a DJ that allows players to select the tunes, a robotic comic, and more. All in all a great time for all. Who doesn't love a good party? five stars and a Whoop Whoop go out to this party crasher.

White Water

This rafting based table from 1993 challenges players to make it from the river to Wet Willy's River Ranch while avoiding such obstacles as Big Foot and a whirlpool that sucks balls down. There's lots of radting themed shots to be made and multiple Multiball modes. It's all the thrills and chills of white water rafting without the wet shorts. I give this wild ride 5 stars and a wet willy.

Who Dunnit

This detective themed table from 1995 combines the thrills of gambling with the suspense of a murder mystery. You assume the role of an ace private eye as you find clues to solve the case. There's also a working slot machine and roulette game. All things considered I give 4 1/2 stars to this mystery machine.
And there you have it. The entire Pinball Arcade collection reviewed in just 5 installments. I'll be back next month with part 6 where i'll ewview the newest addition. Til then true believers i'll see ya in the funny papers.
